Rushi Shah is a self-taught watercolor artist drawn to the quiet beauty of everyday life and the natural world.
Watercolor became a way for Rushi to slow down, observe, and be present. She is especially inspired by birds, landscapes, musicians in their element, and the small details that are easy to overlook in the rush of daily life.
Her paintings explore light, color, texture, and the imperfect beauty of things as they are.
This collection of twelve paintings reflects her ongoing exploration of watercolor-from learning to trust the fluidity of the medium to finding joy in simply putting paint on paper.
Each piece represents a moment of curiousity, experimentation, or connection.
For Rushi, painting is less about creating a perfect image and more about noticing something beautiful and giving herself the time to see it.

A lifetime doodler- filled with subjects and themes relative to a career in psychiatric nursing. chance mentorship with legend Robert Rauschenberg- a mentor who encouraged my artistic side and all It’s possibilities.

I am inspired by all that surrounds me
the foils and tribulations of life’s interactions with emotions.
